From small town Napanee, Ontario, Leanna Bliss (a.k.a Miss Bliss- it’s a real name!) found her place in the house music scene at a young age while surrounding h…erself with local DJ talent and genuinely learning the genre of house for what it is. Leanna grew up as a competitive dancer and the musicality she gained from years of dancing has helped influence her path to becoming a DJ and made her into the exciting performer she is. Miss Bliss plays sets full of energy and excitement, while dancing, feeling the music and continuously captivating the crowd. Leanna’s energetic sets allow her to connect with her audience to bring them on a unique journey and to another level. After venturing out to the west coast she quickly realized the differences in music progression, styles and likes between the east and west coast. Leanna has been continuing to implement her own flavours into the scene while incorporating west coast trends. Staying true to her uniqueness and unconventional style, she always tries to bring fresh beats to every atmosphere ranging from banging house music to bass-driven tech house while mixing in other varieties such as old school disco remixes to the old 90’s rap and other forms of electronic music. With music full of love and character, she never forgets her roots while mixing new flavours and feels and…oh, basically anything you can dance to.
Miss Bliss has also played in many venues around the province of Saskatchewan ranging from places such as lounges and nightclubs to festivals and day parties. Leanna continues to bring a unique vibe to dance floors of all parties while creating an energy on the dance floor unlike no other. Leanna currently holds residences and has had residencies in Saskatchewan including the long-running LGBTQ event “Blush”, The Hookah Lounge, The Cathedral Freehouse in Saskatoon and at the Q nightclub. Leanna is looking to grow her brand and travel around Canada playing at festivals, nightclubs and events to share her love and passion with the world.
Leanna has also has been a part of the Queen City Pride Festival, Saskatoon Pride Festival, and Moose Jaw Pride festival for the last two years both hosting and DJ’ing at events. Her presence in the Queer community remains strong within in the Province and she hopes to branch out to other Pride Festivals around the world. Leanna started one of the only LGBTQ events in the province of Saskatchewan and has been throwing patio and night parties for the last three years. Miss Bliss believes in supporting and elevating the queer community to provide a safe, fun environment to meet new people and just celebrate being you!
